Yuki ya Konko Arare ya Konko         Snow falls, hail falls densely

Futte wa futte wa                              It’s falling and falling

Zun zun tsumoru                              Collecting more and more

 

Yama mo Nohara mo                       The mountain and fields

Wata boushi kaburi                          Wearing the cotton hat

Kareki nokorazu Hana ga saku       Trees are blooming with snow flowers

Mada furi yamanu                            It’s falling and never stopping

 

Inu wa yorokobi                               The dog is happily

Niwa kakemawari                            Running around in the garden

Neko wa kotatu de maruku naru     The cat is curled up under the Kotatsu
